How South Ridge Financial Solutions Came to Be
South Ridge Financial Solutions wasn't something I planned years in advance. It grew naturally from the work I was already doing and from seeing how often good business owners were trying to make important decisions without really knowing where their numbers stood.
Over the years, I've worked in different industries and lived in different countries, but the same problem kept showing up. Business owners were busy doing the work they were good at, while the bookkeeping slowly became harder to keep up with or no longer gave them the information they actually needed. It wasn't because they didn't care. They were simply focused on running the business and didn't have the time to keep stopping and work out why something didn't make sense.
When I moved to Ohio, I began working behind the scenes in bookkeeping and business operations, managing the day-to-day financial side of a business and helping improve the systems around it. That experience shaped the way I work now because the processes I use didn't come from theory. They came from dealing with real problems, finding missing information, fixing what wasn't working, and building better ways of doing things.
I've always been someone who wants to understand why something has happened, rather than simply correcting a number and moving on. When a QuickBooks file doesn't make sense, I start following the trail until I can see what happened and how everything connects. Sometimes the answer is straightforward, and other times it means tracing transactions through several systems before all the pieces finally come together.
That is still one of the parts of the work I enjoy most because there is a real difference between books that are technically complete and books that a business owner can genuinely rely on.
South Ridge is intentionally built around working with a small number of service-based businesses so I can give each client the attention they deserve and really understand how their business operates. I don't believe in using the same process for everyone because every business has its own systems, challenges, and goals. The work should reflect what the business actually needs, rather than assuming the same approach will work for everyone.

It starts with a free 15-minute Discovery Call via Zoom, then a Financial Diagnostic, so I actually understand your business and how things are currently set up before I recommend anything.
From there, I bring your books current and keep them that way. Your reports are clear enough that you can actually read them. And the systems are set up around how your business really runs, not a generic template.
Each month, you'll hear from me regularly, get organized reports, and I'll flag things before they turn into problems. You won't be left chasing me for answers.
